Here is an idea. Use clover for a bunch of something green and fresh and lovely to fill your vase. It has so many positive connotations and it’s lasts for such a long time. Every day it will be there to greet you rather than a bunch of expensive flowers that last a day or two and then wilt and fade.
Clover just stays fresh and green and perky, and for me, has a sense of luxuriousness. A field of clover always evokes such a truly delightful image. And the best part of all of this idea is that clover is FREE to us all to pick.

Moments that bring one Joy

Our lives are a series of moments which turn into memories and lessons and insights that become embedded within us.
Joy is spread through those memories. Celebrate the tiny things that bring you Joy on 25th November every year.
But maybe it would be cool to celebrate Joy whenever we think about it or experience it.

Lemons
The leaves are more than decoration. One year on the Amalfi coast, I was served the most fantastic melted mozzarella that had been placed on a huge Amalfi lemon leaf and then placed on a grill. The oil in the leaf gave the melted cheese an evocative flavour. I love the perfume of lemon blossoms. The scent lifts the entire surrounding area. Everyone should have a lemon tree in their garden or backyard. They use to It was a standard Australian suburban thing to find a lemon tree out the back. The idea you can just go outside and pick a lemon fresh off the tree.
I love lemon themselves. The juice is sweet and emphasis and enhance al the flavours it is blended with. A squeeze of lemon over grilled lamb, or fresh sardines, or even some lightly steamed brocollini. A slice of lemon with a G&T. Summer. I love the wide range of yellow tat its skin can be. I love the diversity of shape it can be. I love lemons.
